Im currently still using my old OCUK Ultima IP-35 Pro Q6700 4GB DDR2 GTX560 system, which I bought in 2007 with an 8800GTX fitted.
I wanted to get some feed back on the system i'm considering putting together (below) before I commit to buying ... I know there is no dedicated GFX card listed but for running games like Fallout, World at War Zombies, Sniper Elite Zombie Army and Black Ops 1-2 Zombies, would this setup be ok with win7.. if you guys have any suggestions I would be greatful. (An R9 GFX, SSD 120 or 240GB and possibly win 8.1 is planned for the future)

AMD Kaveri 7850K

AMD Gamer 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-17000C10 2133MHz

Asus A88XM-PLUS AMD A88X (Socket FM2+) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard

Seagate SSHD 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DX001) SSHD Hybrid Drive

Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

BitFenix Prodigy M MATX Cube Case

Zalman LQ315 Ultimate Liquid CPU Cooler

Cost £612.37

Sorry, I didn't mention that I have a Seagate 1TB 7200RPM HDD that can salvaged from my old system, so I guess that would save £44.00 there... bringing the total down below my £612 ... I had set out to build an AMD system but its given me something else to consider, Thanks :D

Any reason why your going for the AMD build? Your budget would allow an Intel build which is far superior.

The only reason was because of cost .. But your suggestion has kinda thrown a spanner in the works ... I would probably keep the 600w PSU and up the ram to 16GB, but its made me seriously reconsider my build.. :D

You won't require 16GB of RAM for gaming - & Don't buy that Corsair PSU.

Quote for truth. CX units are the most over priced PSU at the moment, with its moderate to cheap internals and a premium price tag that could bag a gold efficiency PSU with more amps on the 12v rail.

If you wont use more than 8gb of ram, there will be no performance gain to 16gb. Also, if you really wanted 16, you can add more later very cheaply.

I personally would go for the above build but with a Super flower Golden green 550w (You sacrifice it being modular for having amazing internals and being gold rated, also you get a 5 year warranty). You can use the windows 8 trial for three months until you decide to buy the license, letting you spend on decent, longer lasting components now Or use your current windows 7 copy if you prefer that.
