Im curious about the above mentioned item.

It is listed on watercooling controllers and also fan controllers. Is this an all-in-one controller? I only ask as it doesn't appear to be completely clear on what it does.

Also in regards to controllers what is the benefit of using them and is it worth it?

Thanks in advance :)

Yeah im also interested in this thing.

Was looking for a programmable LCD display to show system info and some custom info like the build name and logo. This thing says its compatible with LCD-Hype so im assuming I can do that.

To answer the above, it can control fans and also display info on pump water flow if one is plugged into it so it can be used in a pure air system or watercooled systems.

I assume by that then it can be used to control fans for my radiator whilst also monitoring my water-cooling right?

I'm usually not into bling bling LCD's but can honestly state that this product is much worth much more than just an 'LCD'. Yes it can do loads of LCD stuff (and has some excellent software to back that up) but its main purpose is as a watercooling monitor and regulator.

It monitors actual water temperatures (using independant water temp probes) and adjusts both water pump and fan speeds. The reason why I recommend it is that yes you can use your motherboard and other controllers to regulate fans manually (or automatically according to air temps from your mainboard etc) but not according to water temperatures.

Its in a bit of a niche market this product - It allows an awesome array of control over your fans, pumps, led's and even lets you do things like power down your system automatically IF a water pump was to fail for exaple.

The Aquasuite software it uses is pretty impressive and is still developing to allow further functionality:

Heres a pic of mine setup and working:

You encouraged me to buy one and so I have. It has arrived today and I have absolutely no idea on how to install it. Any chance one of you fine folks could take the time to tell/show me how to?

What do I need to plug where etc.

Thanks guys! lol

nice one dude.

Depends what you want to do with it (what are your aims) and what other peripherals you have - i.e. do you have any water temperature sensors? Flow sensor? what type of fans? etc etc. - - You'll definately need a seperate water temperature sensor if you want to control fans according to water temperature ;)

The ports on the back of it are pretty clearly labelled - you can use one Fan port for more than one fan (using a splitter cable) so for example all 3 fans on a radiator can be plugged into Fan port 1 (as you'll want them all spinning same speed) - other fans can be plugged into the other ports.

Label the sensor you have connected
Setup a controller to control the fans according to them sensors and away you go.

You might want to use the Aquacomputer software to set it up (much easier) - get it from aqua-computer.de website under downloads, just ensure you have .net framework 4 (full version) installed first.

For the more complicated stuff check out the thread in the watercooling section on the xtremesystems.org website ;)

hth.

Cheers dude it does kinda help and also doesnt lol.

Its very complex and its gonna take me some time.

Im new to generally anything PC so it all baffles me. Anything beyond common sense is going to be difficult basically!

Im assuming I don't have a sensor on my watercooling as OcUK did my watercooling and from little knowledge I have it seems I have a CPU block, a radiator and a pump/reservoir. Ill obviously need to look for one of those!

In regards to the fans being able to be used as 1, that is a good thing. Im using a Corsair 800D case with a triple rad in the top which is cooled by 3 xigmatec fans (I found even that complicated to install! Easy but bloody fiddley!).

Ill need to get an extension of sorts for the larger xigmatec 140mm fan I have on the back of the case.

Theres also a 140mm stock fan within the case that I believe cools the bottom chamber. The speed on that therefore is not really relevant or worth keeping an eye on.

I did manage to find out how to connect it to the power so thats one thing!

Looks like ill need to get a few cables to fully install it though. Thanks for the info!
