Hi Guys

Arguably the best looking blocks on the market have been announced for the R9 290 cards. OcUK has blocks on order now.

We also have a Nickel version coming soon which will be available to order when Aquacomputer release pictures for it.

Aqua Computer Kryographics Hawaii Radeon R9 290x @ £85.99 inc VAT

WC-166-AQ_400.jpg

Combined GPU/RAM/VRM-cooler for graphics cards of the type Radeon R9 290X with 4GB RAM according to reference design.
This cooler combines the features of a graphics chip cooler and RAM-coolers in an elegant and very flat watercooler. Additionally the voltage regulators are also cooled effectively.

The kryographics for R9 290X water block offers outstanding cooling performance and a low flow resistance. All mounting threads are equipped with spacers for easy installation and to prevent twisting the graphics card. The areas contacting the GPU and RAM modules are polished for excellent heat transfer. For the voltage regulators, a thermal pad with high thermal conductivity is included.
The kryoconnect water block series features a delrin connection terminal that has a significantly reduced flow resistance compared to the previous aquagraFX series. The terminal is fastened to the water block by three screws and has G1/4 inlet and outlet ports on each side for flexible installation. Two sealing screws are supplied to seal the unused connection threads. The terminal can be replaced with kryoconnect kits for SLI configurations (art. no. 23551, 23552 or 23553, not included in delivery).

Materials:
Base part: Copper
Top cover: Acrylic glass with stainless steel frame
Terminal: Delrin

Scope of delivery:
cooler without connectors (screw threads G 1/4)
mounting material incl. thermally conductive pad
two sealing plugs for unused connection threads

Please note:
Graphic card and fittings are not included in delivery, please order separately. Threads are G 1/4. Thermally conductive paste is required for installation.

Only £85.99 inc VAT.

Will xspc be releasing a water block for the 290x? And which is better the ek or the aquacomputer (and xspc if they do release one)?
If I keep my 290x(yet to test it and have like a week to decide if I want to RMA it under the DSR) will be watercooling in the near future, needs to know which the best block to get for it.

Not fussed about the looks, design and performance is what I'm interested in.

I've steered clear of EK since my GTX580 block de-nickelled itself.

Eta on Aquacomputer's UK shop-site suggests 18/11. Any news for your stock Rich? Aha, stock is now showing - albeit £5 more - order placed.

I still think the pre-order and pay immediately even though you have no idea on stock/eta is most un-OcUK-like. If it were pay when the stock ships, and/or confirmed stock from the first batch it would fit in more with the great service OcUK otherwise delivers.

Great, yet another order that's stalled. It's been showing as 'Printed in our warehouse' since 12:22 pm.

I've not had that problem for months.

Can't compare against the EK, but the Kryographics Hawaii is a thing of beauty. The finish and fit are simply outstanding and so far the highest temperature I've seen for the GPU is 48C, benching at 1225MHz in Valley with a 290. It's idling along at 33C, with a PA120.3, CPU-380I/3770K and Eheim 1250 in the loop.

Is the pa120.3 the 15mm fan spacing version? I have the 120.2 non standard fan spacing(I.e not 15mm spacing), not sure if it'll fit in the 750d case tho(I still need to remove it from one of my other builds).
I have the xspc rs360 also so wouldn't just be using a dual rad.
