aquaero 5 fan 3 problem

Little bit confused at the moment got my aquaero 5 lt all connected up and in aquasuite fan 3 is reading 11.6v and 0rpm yet the fan is still spinning away, checked in the controller section and the fan is set on a constant value its set to max, can set the rpm range in the advanced settings in the fans section and you can hear the fan slowing down any ideas as to why its not showing on the aquasuite software currently running aquasuite 2012 beta 13

Is the fan showing rpm elsewhere? Like if connected to a motherboard header for example.

get rpm readings from other fan headers on the aquaero just wondering whether its software related or hardware just not sure

Could be software mate. I've had it before one minute it works next reboot it doesn't on allot of ae5's. I've had two ae5 pros and one lt and seemed to get this every so often on varying headers.

Ensure you'r using the latest firmware and aqua suite software

on beta 14 version it wont let me alter the monitoring page had to go back to beta 13 to do tht so that i could monitor flow meter etc i just find the aquaero 5 unreliable at present in that the software isnt up to scratch hardware is a cracking piece of kit

You need to go to the settings of the monitoring page and select EDIT PAGE first

I'd say the software is getting better and better each release - and currently I have no problems with my AE5 PRO. It returns all stats as and when needed, and seems to do its job of controlling the fans ok.....try the latest BETA and ensure you update the firmware to I think its 1024.

I did raise this as a concern on another forum where one of the software developers is resident - A year on and the software is still BETA!!!!
