aqualis res and p/adaptor problem?

i have the the res (34045 )and the pump adaptor(41094), when i connect them both (not at the stage of screwing them down yet)the adaptor doesnt sit flush with the bottom of the res i can see daylight through the joint.doesnt look as if this is right ?

solved, put a wee drop of silicone lube around the o rings and it slipped in nicely
