Well seen as my new water pump is taking ages to arrive ive decided to get a new water block aswell :D
Ive decided on an AquaXtreme MP-5 but i dunno whether to get the SP model with the tiny water jets or to go with the Pro which has the cross shaped nozzle.
The pump i have on the way is a Laing DDC 12v Ultra so it got enough power for whichever block i choose. Its just im concerned about the tiny jets getting clogged up. Realistically how much extra maintenence would it require over the cross shaped nozzle.
The water addittive i'll be using is the alphacool tec-protect uv green ready made stuff.
Which would you choose?

Also it says the block come with 9/16-18 straight threaded nickel plated High-Flow barbed fittings? they'll fit 1/2" ID tubing wont they?

Hi there, I went for the MP-05 Pro limited edition for exactly the same concerns as you. In all probability it is highly unlikely that it should block up as there is no way there should be any dust, dirt or other contaminant in the water. I am very happy with the Pro and it works superbly for me. The SP will be more flow restrictive though.

As for the barbs, they are actually 1/2" barbs anyway. It is just the thread that the barbs use to screw into the top of the block that is quoted. They are already fitted anyway so there will be no problem.

ok thanks for the info. Ive ordered the Pro. Seen as im using uv reactive die i thought it would be the best option. the SP might perform a little better but probly only a 1c at most.
Anyway it should be here tomorrow and hopefully pump by the end of the week
