I want to start using Arch Linux.

At the moment i have Windows 7 (mainly for gaming) and i have another HDD ready for a Linux install.

Problem is i still need to use the computer ideally. I haven't got a few hours spare to play with the Arch install.

I was wondering if there's anyway you can 'build' the Arch install within Windows and then transfer the complete setup over to my spare HDD.

Any ideas?

Or would i just be better off keeping the kettle on, the coffee brewing and working on it through the night :o

Ummm

If you don't have time to build Arch then why choose a distro that you have to build ?

Distro such as Arch & Gentoo are for people who want to lean the gubbins of Linux and DO have spare time to learn. They are not congruent to quick fire installs.

I get where your coming from, don't buy a kit car on Sunday if you need to get to work for 9.00am the following morning!

Anyhoo, it was easier then i thought. Mostly up and running now, infact i'm typing this post in my new Arch install.
