Hi,
I tried Arch linux a year ago and the install was fairly successful. I got gnome installed and could log into it. Unfortunately in my haste I skipped a part of the guide, and that was my downfall
I'm currently using trusty old Ubuntu to learn Vim as that was the course of the trouble. Whats wrong with gedit I cry!
Am I right in thinking that I could copy my xorg.conf from ubuntu 8.04 and use that in Arch? I want to iron out issues with my new ATI 4870 and dual screens, this is easy to do with ubuntu installed by wubi.
Thirdly, Will my Asus xonar d2 (the pci card version) work out of the box in Arch like it does in Ubuntu?
