Archive program

Is there a program that will archive all files and folders, ie the desktop every day or something? maybe everyhour? So your desktop/folder chosen is always tidy?

Hazel will shift your crap elsewhere, and then archive it. Or the other way round.

What do you mean by archiving? Would time machine not also do this?

This automatically cleans my desktop and puts it into a folder with that day on it.
