Anyone else interested in this mmorpg in development?

http://www.archlordgame.com/

I'm a bit tired of all the current fantasy MMORPG's so the idea of becoming Archlord and ruling the game world for a month or so sounds very nice, as well as a good mix of PvP and PvE with guild vs guild warfare being available. I think I'm looking forward to this more than Lord of the Rings Online now. :)

it sounds good but im a bit concerned with the korean connection. i hated lineage 2 and rf online -- total grind fest ... i hope this doesnt suffer from a 'culture clash' problem.

Use your brain guys, theres going to be thousands of players. If you want to be the Archlord you have to have no job, no social life, grind grind grind, lead a good guild filled with more uber dedicated players, grind some more, and then you might have a small chance.

Looks alright though, but graphics do look kinda dated, a bit of a cross between RF Online and Lineage2. I've signed up for the beta anyway.

I've kinda found a bit of a pattern though. Korean developed games eg: Lineage, RF Online, and the thousands of others, tend to be very linear and sucky. Western games, such as WoW, Everquest, Eve, Shadowbane, SWG, are so much better, have loads of diversity and are made to a much higher quality. So now I await for the next big western mmo.

If you find that an MMORPG is becoming a "Grind" then stop playing it.
Seriously.
No game should be a grind and if you're finiding that is the only way to progress then the game is so crap you shouldn't be wasting your time on it or you are simply playing the "must level as fast as I can" game in which case it is your own fault.

just the way codemasters do it. they ran the pre-order thing for RFOnline as a way to get money early but in return they gave people keys to access the stage 2 beta (stage 1 being closed beta, stage 3 being fully open beta).

archloard will probably be a massive grind fest, i'd say even more so than rfo. the korean version incorporated real money trade for the better items (which NA/EUR version probably wont have) and i think it capped at somehwere between 85 and 125 levels, can't remember.
from what i've seen the only interesting classes are these:
human mage - dress her up like a tart (not hard considering the starting outfit) and choose the face that looks like she's blushing. soon you'll know why she's blushing ;)
moon elf mage - cute. runs like a kid, makes random cute expression noises like a kid, looks like a kid. perfect for those with a lolita complex...
moon elf ranger - like the mage, but older. and not likely you have you put in jail either ^_~
oh, and the moonelves have cute kitty ears. a definate must have.

*purr*

Well the company behind Archlord have been saying they've "Westernised" the game by adding more quest content, whether that's just "go kill x creatures" I don't know but seems they at least know the differences between the two areas.

I found WoW a complete grind and with not much in the way of crafting I lost interest and I doubt this time I'll be back playing it.

With Archlord being PvP orientated much more than WoW ever was it's one of the reasons why I'm looking forward to it a lot and hopefully I'll get a beta key thanks to FilePlanet.
