I am looking to buy the following

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core 5.20GHz

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-...ocket-am5-processor-retail-pro-amd-03517.html

Asus ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING WIFI

Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 CUDIMM 48GB

And then this for cooling:

Arctic Liquid Freezer III ARGB High Performance CPU Water Cooler - 420mm

First of all, does this cooler look appropriate? Secondly, in my case I will have to mount it with the pipes coming out the top of the fans, will this work? (I have a Thermaltake P90 case)

I would say this will not work.

The Freezer III is not compatible with that motherboard because of the NVME heatsink is to tall and it looks like if you turn it round the VRM heatsink will be in the way.

If you contact Arctic with proof of purchase they will send you a NVME heatsink so you can fit the cooler to the motherboard in the normal orientation (pipes down).

Artic are very good with customer service, Mt vrm fan started to make a rattling noise so I sent them a video and they sent out a replacement straight away, I'll be sticking with them for the future.

Agree every time I have had contact with them has been positive experience and they don't try to argue or fob people off with faults.

Unfortunately I'm just about to return the same model I received on Friday. It had a nasty rattling sound from the pump, and general pump noise louder than my existing Lian Li Galahad. The performance was excellent however, noticeably better than the Galahad, and from what I've read it's likely I just got a dud.

I'm in two minds as to whether to order another, not sure I can be bothered with more tinkering at this point in time.
