I am thinking about getting a cooler for my reference r9 290. If i were to stick the Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV on it, would i be able to crossfire with a non reference card? How big is this thing when its on my MOBO? also are the heatsinks glued in place on the VRAM, is there any getting them off of there after?

Yes, providing your pcie slot spacing is 3 slots, not 2.

You don't get any individual heatsinks with the IV, just the huge backplate/heatsink.
