Anyone with experience of Arctic's fans? I have a Liquid Freezer II 360mm (ARGB) and six Arctic P12 RGB fans and an Arctic RGB controller.

If I connect the RGB fans to the RGB controller and cooler fans to an ARGB head on the motherboard any idea if I can control them with Arctic's software or will I need an ARGB controller too?

Bit unclear what you mean
You want to connect 3 fans to the controller
But the other 3 to the motherboard?
From memory the controller connects to motherboard
By usb?
If the controller can't take 6 fans
And you do it that way
Then I doubt artics software will control
The 3 connected to the motherboard
You would need something like Signal rgb
Assuming it can identify the artic controller

The cooler has 3 Arctic ARGB fans and I have 6 other Arctic RGB fans. I also have an Arctic RGB controller with 4 ports that can take up to 5 fans (5x0.2A) on each port. Just trying to work out how best to get it all working together. I'm not fussed about the ARGB fabs working with any fancier patterns as long as they are just controlled to match the RGB ones.

I think I may have to try that thanks. Arctic's software only seems to work with the RGB hub. It's painful when even a single manufacturers stuff can't work together.

I've been playing around with my fans. Seems I actually have 6 ARGB and 3 RGB fans. Schoolboy error buying the RGB ones! Tried a combination of Gigabyte and Arctic software which sort of works. I'm going to try some of the third party ones and see what result I get.

This mess of RGB is very underreported, anyone that gets it working has my respect, frustrating as hell to play around with

I have mixed rgb and argb before
But rgb were from memory plugged into
A corsair commander pro
Then to motherboard
Signal rgb did recognise the rgb that way
But can't remember much more than that
May have to dig deeper into Signal rgb settings
To see if it will separate rgb and argb
As certain effects won't work properly on rgb
But if any one software can do it
Signal rgb will be the one

It's good that Microsoft are intent on
Trying to sort the led mess
But they're so far behind Signal rgb at this point
That if I ran Microsoft
I would seriously try to buy out Signal rgb

Arctic P12 ARGB fans work fine from a standard 3pin motherboard header, and the motherboards software or a 3rd party ARGB controller, or software like SignalRGB.
I went with a the Razer ARGB controller, with Razer Chroma software and no issues.

Have 6 of them in my Corsair 4000D and no issues
