Arctic cooler 64 pro socket 939 heatsink.

Hi I had one of these for about a month now and its really good.
But I was wondering does everyone run this from? By that I mean do you just wack it into your PC and let the fan run at what its preset to? (which is 12V im guessing).
Because although it isnt loud its still audible and I want it quieter.
Is there anyway to change this to run at 7V? Not quite sure how you mod these 3 pin things.

Most motherboards/BIOS should have a feature that controls the CPU fan speed according to the temperature. So if you plug it directly into the "CPU fan" connector on the motherboard and have a look at the temperature/fan settings you should get the desired effect.

EDIT: Oh, and look at the catalogue under fan controllers. I just ordered one of these.

I can't hear mine above my other fans, so I leave it on full...it is very quiet on full, my chipset fan is capable of making a hell of a lot more noise!
