Hi all

This might be a bit of a long shot but here goes

I have a freezer 64 pro which came with a bundle I bought from OCuk

Now its the old version with an 80mm fan. I see the new version http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_43&mID=133 has a 92mm fan now.

So my question is does anyone know if the fixings/fittings the same so if I bought the newer one I could just change the fans (clip old one off >clip new one on) without having to remove heatsink from chip.

Thanks if anyone can help

Ok here is a couple (not very good I might add) pictures of a mod I did after my original fan packed up. Before I made the adaptor I simply (and no reason why you cant do this) used 2 tie wraps connected together to clamp the 120mm fan in place.

Oh and this is for the 775 socket :)

I did something similar but I removed the plastic casing. Leaving it on is effectively keeping the air moving over the HS the same. I just attached a Yate Loon to the HS with cable ties and got much better performance.
