Just bought this kinda on impulse - running an Athlon II 630 (2.8 stock) @ 3.5ghz.

On stock cooler it would run to 75c under load and 50C @ idle - a little toasty lol.

Installed this bad boy and idle temps are 30-38C and load temps are 50C tops. :)

so easy to install too! pop old one off.... pop this on. no messing!

Well impressed.

:)

Yes - i'm a bit slow i know.... lol

Having one ill agree there amazing coolers for there price compared to stock. But the mounting on AMD is only vertical which is annoying

I used to have one, and they're great little coolers for the money. You need something beefier for some serious overclocking though :D

I too have a Athlon II 630 and have this cooler.

Have been running my CPU at 3.5ghz for over 2 years, I run folding at 100% and it normally sits at 52C maybe 54C in the summer.

I have been very very happy with it but I agree the mounting is not idea i.e not directed out of the back of the case.

In case you are wondering, yes I am currently running at 3.4ghz but this is because I updated the memory to 8gb. I am not 100% sure but I think that the new memory is not as happy as my old memory to be overclocked......so as the CPU has a locked multiplier it was easier to lower the overclock slightly to improve stability.

whacked it up to 260mhz FSB so 3640mhz - it ran prime for about 10mins before it fell over. Think it's a windows error as it does it every nw and again. Knocked it back to 3.5ghz and see how it goes.

Prime never used to work right when i had a dual core so nice to see it does now. Used SuperPI as a benchtest and a bit of a stability test.
