Hi,just ordered one of these to fit my 6800GT.I read a few reviews and it semed to be highly recommended,I was just wondering if anyone has a first hand experience with this product and could share their thoughts on it for me before I go and remove the heatsink/fan off my Leadtek.
I'm not really using it to help overclocking I was more interested in the cooling and noise reduction side of things.

Thanks

I have one and it's great. I couldn't overclock my 6800NU much more than the reference cooler but it's a damn sight quieter!!!

Make sure that the core is contacting the HS ok as there were a batch where the ram HS' held the main HS off of the core :(

This was years ago, it was the rev 1's that this happened on, now the ram heatsinks are soft pads, before they were solid copper. I have one on my 6800GT and its great, very quiet compared the the stock cooler, looks good imo and keeps my gpu at 42oc idle, 50oc load or there abouts :) .

Ooh that's interesting. Is the newer version better in any other way? I might change mine :)

Well it arrived yesterday and what a b***h,the two pin fan connector on the artic wouldn't fit on to my card, even though there was a choice of two connectors!!
So had to remove the Leadtek connector and use it on the Artic....which was a pain to do.
Anyway it's all running and what a difference it makes to noise levels.
Just thought I better mention the above just in case anyone comes across the same.

Yep this was the same thing i had to do, i just cut the wires swapped the plugs then twisted them together, easy :p .

I'm not sure if its any better tbh, Ive not used the rev 1 or 3, the rev 1 had some design flaws that have made a lot of people hate the cooler even though the problems were all ironed out with the rev 2. The rated fan speed of the rev 2 is 2000 rpm whereas the rev 1 was 2500rpm so id imagine the cooler was made more efficient to warrant the lower fan speed. heres a couple of pics of my rev 2, notice the soft ram heat transfer pads.

Oh I see, ok I definately have the rev 1 then. Oh and I had to cut and swap connectors as well

i got the NV5 silencer on my gfx card, its a top cooler, its just so massive! im sure i could run it passive since the shear size of the radiator on it would be more than enough to cool it down if the case cooling is adequate.
