Oh good god!
So I got around to taken my 'faulty' Intel version Freezer 7 pro back to the shop yesterday and explained to them it wasn't working properly (I made a post about this some months back when I first set-up my Conroe system), anyway the guy was cool and said he would replace it.
I told him I had bought a decent thermalright cooler for the Intel system and would it be possible to change it for an Athlon version, no problem.
So tonight just started to put together a little Venice 3000+ system and intended to use the Freezer 64 pro. Got the three lugs engaged on one side then carefully hooked the other side on, got the lever and stated to turn it, slowly, slowly, creak, creak, SNAP!
I doooooooon't believe it
Never had anything happen like that to me before, that final 'snapping' sound doesn't do the heart any favours . . . . looking forward to returning this to the shop
