Recieved it just now, I'm not quite sure I understand how the thermal paste works. I didn't recieve a tub in the package but there looks to be some on the bottom of the cooler already, it's a gray cooler and a perfect square. Surely I need to apply thermal paste to my CPU as well?

you can just mount the cooler with out paste
may be a good idea to get some artic silver of something and use it instead - all u will need to do is clean it off the bottom of the heatsink first

cooler was ok - prob i had was that I had an Am2 mobo but retnetion clip was crap and when i tried to fit it, i snapped the clip meaning I had to buy a replacement from here

yeah the paste is allready preappied and works just fine
