Hi i have recently gone out and bought a Arctic freezer pro rev2 and it has reduced the temps on my 1055t by a few degrees. My problem is though it seems to be telling me the fan is going at 675000 rpm on my bios and hardware monitor. I know it cannot be running that fast so wondering if that is a known fault or should i replace it?

Mobo is m5a99x evo with newest bios update.

Sometimes if the fan is running to slow the motherboard throws up a silly reading, this has happened many times in the past with me.

Stres the cpu and see if you get a sensible reading.

I get the exact same reading with my Arctic Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 when the fan spins down... It's normally spinning at around 1600rpm and reaches around 2200rpm at full speed (which never really happens).

Thanks for the replies i was getting a little worried that it wass faulty but it seems to just be a normal problem.

I stressed it on prime 95 and got a proper reading thanks for your help guys
