Arctic Liquid Freezer II Gunk

These are all pure distilled and have no inhibitors to stop growth/gunk and corrosion. Get the mayhems x1 clear as that has all the inhibitors needed to stop corrosion and growth/gunk. Just make sure you get as much air out as you can and fully clean the old unit so you don't make thing potentially worse. Also 1 litre is plenty. The 240mm have 100-150ml and 360mm have 150-200ml.

This the one you are referring to so no messing about once I have flushed it i just fill all the way with that nothing else?

That's the one and all you need. If you need any further help feel free to message me. I have done just this in the past with an old zalman lq310 that gunked up. It was a PITA to make sure all the debris was out. I had to do many flushes through the pump and radiator to make sure it was all out. This aio is still working in an old pc that i sold 5 years ago to my friend for his 8 year old for roblox. This pump has lasted 12 years with a 2600k and gtx 1060. Also the 2600k is running at 4.5ghz under 75c max cpuz load as of last month when i checked.

I had one of the affected units (the 420mm), they sent me a repair kit some time ago as my heatsink looked exactly like your's, but I have noticed temps creeping up.

Going to try a different brand this time around

i would recommend the thermalright aios. had 2 in the past. one still using in daughters pc and the other in my backup pc. both 3-4 years old
Fitting a 420 aio in a fractal torrent is a little tricky, I was going to try BeQuiet 420 aio as I have heard it fits

might struggle with a 420 aio in that case regardless of possible aios maybe fitting. get a 360mm aio and call it a day. hope OP is getting along ok with replacement and cleaning old unit out?
