Wondering how many of the arctic 12025w fans i can run of the 4 pin cpu header, had two on my TRUE run of the 4 pin cpu header with pwm function without issue before i switched to sharkoon se 2000's when i upped my quad to 3.8ghz.
If (and I appreciate that it's a big IF) the motherboad is an Intel chipset and the manufacturer has built it to specification then it has to be able to suport 65W worth of fans off the PWM fan header. Arctic Cooling say you can daisy-chain 5, but I've had 6 running off my J&W X48 reference board (3 either side of a PA120.3).

Thanks mate, my board is the asus p5q deluxe, i ran two of them in push/pull on my q6600, great fans upto 3.6ghz, only changed them for sharkoon silent eagle 2000's so i could push to 3.8ghz on air (5x2000 rpm sharkons in my akasa eclipse run of a fan controller) when i first got the 2 arctics it was cob said to me, ask walter, he knows about arctic pwm fans and daisy chaining them. Still have another 4 of them to go into a 2nd rig so its good to know theyll be fine
