I posted this thread a while ago about a new build which I'm going to order on Wednesday.

However I'm planning making my own loop with acrylic tubing instead of the aio in the build but there are a few things I'm unsure off.

I already have an xspc 240mm radiator with fans but i don't know if there is a specific pump i would need to use with the acrylic?

I also already bought the monsoon bending kit from overclockers but i need pretty much the rest of the items for a cpu loop.

My focus is purely on looks and if i have to spend a bit extra to make it look good i can, anyway thanks in advance for any help

Hi

You don't need a specific pump for acrylic tubing, you just need to make sure you get the correct fittings to match the tubing e.g. ensuring the OD (outside diameter) is correct for the tubing. Otherwise the same principals for watercooling apply (check the stickied guide out)

Pump wise I personally would stick with either a D5 or a DDC pump, but this is down to personal preference (e.g. choose something that you think looks good in your case)

Good luck with the acrylic, it's a pig to work with but ultimately very rewarding when you get it right

I'll state this at the start.
I HATE acrylic.

what a hassle :p

you need acrylic fittings that's the only special thing.

buy more tubing than you think you'll need, seriously.
take your time. have a good working area. screw the mandrels down if you can, it'll let you work better with your hands.

Make sure you have complete coverage of the collar with glue, you can always wipe away excess as it's a great uv glue monsoon sell.

you can always go with petg tubing as its a little easier to work with, regarding pumps the D5 is better than the DDC but then it depends on space, DDc is great for tight space's but can be louder than the D5, but as giraffepencils said, just take your time and get your measurements right and you wont have a problem.:)
