Are 360s likely to get any cheaper in the new year?

I just thought I'd throw this out to the infinite wisdom on these boards. I've got some Christmas/overtime money that's all but definitely going on a shinyy new 360. There's a decent bundle I've got my eye on but I don't want to jump the gun if there's a better deal to be had in a few weeks or so. I just thought with (hopefully) hard drive prices slowly coming down maybe that would affect the 360's price?

I can see them for £160 sans games (or anything) but not with games

Also, I know the 250GB matte black is the new console, but why are some of them described as 'slim 250GB'? Is there a difference or is it the same console?

Thanks, I feel like such a noob :D

Sorry mate should have said,I was talking about you can get a 4gb version of the 360 along with 2 games on a well known game website for £160 ish,Dont think we can post links to other companys here. :/

If your in the market for a new 360 then get the "Slim" version,Its the newer model and suppose to be much more reliable, and has built in wireless where the old model did not.

No worries. As of yesterday I am now a proud owner of a 250GB S and MW3 :D The best part of it is that it's my birthday at the beginning of Feb so hopefully I can get lots of extras then :D

Another question, if you buy Gold/Live from a well-known online store (that I have vouchers for!), what do you actually get? Is it just a code? Do they physically send you anything?

Er.. any other tips for a new 360 owner?

EDIT: Also I've heard that you shouldnt run the 360 standing up as it scratches discs? Any truth in that?

I've run mine standing up since launch and I've had one scratched disc (when my sister decided to lean it over while it was running )

It's safer to have it horizontal I think.
