Are Aliens evolved humans?

Might be the stupidest thing you've ever heard but I had this theory that Aliens are human beings evolved billions of years ahead of ourselves. If you look at the famous timeline of the evolution of man you can see that he evolved from an ape.

An ape who was very hairy, as the years have gone by, we have lost more and more hair. Aliens (as depicted in the media etc.) have no hair, another striking point is that aliens are supposed to be more intelligent than human beings. Is this because they have evolved from us ? As years have gone by our brains have become more intelligent since Ape man.

Scientists have proven that we only use a certain percentage of our brains, (almost 1/10th of our given capacity)... do Aliens use much more? Maybe their full capacity...

It would explain how they are supposedly able to create vehicles which can travel at the speed of light....

Like I said, maybe the dumbest thing I have ever thought of, but I like the idea... and I want to believe :D

Any thoughts, have I seriously lost the plot? :D

Have you ever thought that humans are the only type of dominent life in this universe?

And are you trying to say (metaphore time) we humans now have a basic Pentium single core brain and the Aliens have a Core 2 brain?
 
I thought we used all our brains, just not at the same time. As different regions do different things, so are not needed all the time.

Pretty much, it's only a myth we only use 10%~ of our brains. And why can't we be more evolved than the aliens?
 
Has anyone got any real proof aliens exist? No
Do super-human aliens exist? Unlikely...
Surely they would have found us/created a time machine/nuked us from orbit by now anyway.

This is like the way psychics work, you can read into it how you like.
 
The human psyche is so egotistic that it is seemingly incapable of imagining any other form of life that isn't in its own image. Hence, according to the media, little green men are bipedal, have hands and opposable thumbs, no extra limbs, eyes and facial structures in the same places etc etc

If there is life out there, the chances of it being even vaguely similar to ourselves is so remote as to be near as damn it 0.

if aliens evolved from us billions of years ago then they wouldn't have evolved from humans, since we didn't exist.

At any rate there isn't really "more evolved" and "less evolved", but evolved differently
