Hi All,

Finally had our phone line installed (new run from telegraph pole, new cabling in the house, and a new master socket, phew!) but there are some connection issues between me and the exchange that BT are now investigating.

ADSL should be going live in due course, and I want to make sure I get the best connection possible. I've been predicted between 7 and 13 Mbit, and I want to do everything I can my end to ensure it is at the high end of that prediction.

I've been left with a socket that looks like this:

So, I want to know what the best ADSL Faceplate is that I can buy and install. I've seen BT do their own one, which I presume means it will definitely fit, but I was curious as to whether any of the other ones are better in some way or another.

Additionally, do I want to get an i-plate also, or is there zero gain to be had here (even minimal will be taken !!)

Interested to hear your thoughts :)

Would you say the pressac is then best for all lines, or particularly strong for long ones?
I don't want to go through testing them all really! Might just go for a pressac and forget the rest!
