Are all short GPU fans 90mm?

Was looking for something like a 1660ti for a new build this summer and noticed all the fans seem to be 90mm if i want to get a short card to put in a iddy biddy little system.

As a rule i normally look in disgust at anything with a fan under 120mm.

Was just wondering if 120mm short cards were a thing or not so i can decide whether to go crazy small or just small small.

Thanks.

You won't find 120 fans on any GPU. If you have enough room below the GPU in your setup, you can remove the shroud and stock fan and ziptie a 120mm fan to the heatsink. Can use a GPU PWM cable like EK's:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £12.65 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Noctua have a slim 15mm version of their top-notch NF-A12. Haven't seen reviews for it though.

Crikey. Why did i assume they were 120mm in the first place. Thanks for pointing out my folly.

Bigger card looks bigger? :)

Would be nice if some models started coming with proper 120s. In fact, I have 2 x Phanteks MP 120s on an EVGA 1070, using that same cable above.

Would s 120mm fan help temps much over the 2* 90mm standard on for example my 2070S?

I'd say it can help temps a bit and silence even more, depending on your starting point (your card could be fairly quiet already). Can't vouch for any other combo - on my setup it brought temps down 5-10C (my card's heatsink is saturated at 60% RPM and running the 2x120s at 100% RPM makes no difference so the quality of the heatsink makes a lot of difference to how much temp drop you will gain. The EVGA 1070 Black's heatsink is not bad but not spectacular either).

It's easiest with 80-90mm fans. It's hard to get 120mm ones to sit tightly against it as they will hang over the edge. I managed to get 2 80mm and 1 120mm on a Vega64 but it has quite a big heatsink.

E.g. here is one of my early experiments using 120mm on an rx480:

As you can see 90mm would probably fit perfectly.

Definitely easier. For my 2x120s I used 195mm (~8") long zipties that are also pretty thin and easy to work with. Attached the rear fan to vents in the PCIe bracket just below the card, attached rear fan to front fan, and for the front fan I used longer wire and attached it to holes in the inside of the case. Since they are not directly attached to the heatsink, there's no sag caused by the thicker fans' heavier weight, and they ended up being perfectly snug against the heatsink. Doesn't look too neat but effective and my case only has a top-half window so the GPU is hidden anyway.
