I seem to recall reading that AMD are splitting production of 7nm Zen 2 between the 2 fabs and that they are using 2 different designs:
8C CCX for server and 6C for desktop.
Firstly, is there any official statement on this?
If true it seems an excellent strategy especially if it gives the option of a 16C for AM4 if required in the unlikely scenario where Intel are beating a 12C Ryzen 3 with a mainstream chip
