Are AMD going with both a 6 and 8 core CCX with Zen 2?

I seem to recall reading that AMD are splitting production of 7nm Zen 2 between the 2 fabs and that they are using 2 different designs:
8C CCX for server and 6C for desktop.
Firstly, is there any official statement on this?
If true it seems an excellent strategy especially if it gives the option of a 16C for AM4 if required in the unlikely scenario where Intel are beating a 12C Ryzen 3 with a mainstream chip

Seems silly to me. If they can do 8 core CCX, then why bother doing a 6 core one? You can always turn off cores if you need to.

Also how are 7nm yields? The whole point of a 4 core CCX was yields even on a mature 12nm/14nm process.

A 6C CCX would be the safest bet with Zen 2 and then increase it to 8C CCX with Zen 3.

It seems as if there were crossed wires in the article that alluded to 8C coming next and that 7nm will start at 6C then move to 8C possibly on 7nm+.

This almost modular approach of Zen is working out amazingly. I knew it would be scalable but how far multi threading has been pushed in a relatively short time is amazing.
