And i think keane is more like £30 millions worth, with beckham at about the same and rio £25mil wilth but at £20mil

yep, add an extra £10m or so which will probably spent in jan, and i make it £100m +.

me thinks arsenal supporters are a tad bit jealous that they cant afford to shell out this sort of money.

easily the best midfield in england?????? viera is better than keane, pires is better than giggs and scholes + beckham are prolly better than ljundberg + giberto that makes it about even in my book.

henry didnt have a sniff of scoring didnt he have 1 disallowed and one which he prolly mis-hit

why would be want to shell out more money when we have bought players as good for a fraction of the price????? wenger had £30 million to spend in the summer but he chose not too waste it all on one player :D lmao @ cliffy yeah why couldnt we of bought veron lol
 
Anyone that thinks Butt is worth any more than 3 or 4 million are seriously deluding themselves.

Keane aint worth 30 mill in any terms, he's too old for that.

Beckham aint worth 30 million, though his PR staff do a good job. Shame the same can't be said for his stick ins... sorry, his missus.

Your right it wasnt luck- it was just shear bias by the ref ( maybe not in this game but in a lot of manu games) Refs are idiots when it comes to ManU. Other teams constantly get screwed by the refs when playing them and looking at Man u's track record a lot of their results have been due to luck or last minute penalties.

I absoulutely hate Man U, and 90% of their fans are glory supporters who claim to have supported them their whole life but actually started when they started winning the Prem for the first time.

Unfortunatley my hatred for Manchester United (also hate the abbreviation Man U) will cloud my opinion but i do feel that Arsenal are a better team( and i dont support them ).

Manchesters players are overated, the likes of the Neville brothers are laughable, only Scholes and Beckham are any good.

Van Nistelrooy is garbage all his goals are tap-ins which would never happen wthout Beckham. ( I could be top scorer at Manchester with that kind of service! ).

And Roy Keane is the biggest joke in football £30mil my backside, hes just a thug.

Why does who I support matter, my team doesnt decide whether I know about football or not, although some fools seem to think it does.

I actually support Sunderland and I know there garbage ( who wouldnt be with Sgt Wilko in charge:( ), but that doesnt make my comments wrong in any way.

Hope we beat Manchster City tonight or we'll be right up **** creek.

Keane and van the man laughable and garbage, you aint got a sniff about football. In another thread I said henry and van the man are awsome and would get into any team and JAZZ agreed. So what does that tell u?

And keane well he is just one of the outstanding midfielders in the world

You're letting your obvious hatred of Man U (by the way you say you hate that expression but you used it yourself twice lmao) cloud your judgement of United's players.

its only in squad terms were arse pull away from Man Utd as they have a far more in depth squad to call on when injuries occur. Although my opinion is changing as our reserves whooped yer behinds on saturday

i personally feel very sorry for people who 'HATE' a football team because its only FOOTBALL.

im from Manchester and i dont HATE Liverpool because i have better things to do with my life. ;)

there way too much heated comments about other football teams on this forum in the last few months.

it needs to calm down a bit and get back to what these forums are meant to be all about. A social environment to discuss ideas and opinions on a variety of subjects. Disrespecting other peoples opinions, alliegiances and tastes have no place here.

NOTE- this is not a comment bout this post but this sports forum in general.

Barthez = better than seaman
Brown = better than Lauren

Giggs = easily worse than Pires
Scholes = better than Gilberto
Keane = worse than Vieira
Beckham = equal to Ljungberg
Solskjaer = equal to Bergkamp
RVN = worse than Henry

In other words, only three of the United team would walk into our first eleven.
 
Lets look at man utd first squad and compare

Barthez = better than seaman
Neville (i thought brown is a central defender) = Same Lauren
Ferdinand = Same as Campbell (one good WC doesnt make him better)
O'Shea = NOT better than keown (he is quicker keown is much better at tackles)
Silvestre = Same as Cole
Giggs = NOT better than Pires
Scholes = Better than Gilberto
Keane = NOT better than Vieira ( better at motivating viera better at tackles)
Beckham = slightly Better than Ljunberg (beckham actually crosses ljundberg plays more like a central midfielder and makes late runs much like scholes)
Solskjaer = Bergkamp is better
RVN = Henry is better

hmmm pires was voted player of the yr was gigg? giggs is better at dribbling but pires is much better at passing and getting through balls in didnt he have 15 assist last yr that equaled the premiership record and was injured in march.

How can you even compare Solskjaar and Bergkamp, they are a world apart. Also if Giggs played well every match he might get close to Pires but as he doesn't he isn't. Players player of the year anyone?
 
when you say cant compare Ole to Bergkamp do you mean as in Ole is better or vice versa?

if you think Iceman is better than Ole you need your head seeing too. Denis Bergy has done sweet FA this season but get suspended where Ole has done brilliant filling in for Becks and his crossing is probably the best in the league plus he scored 20+ goals last season, most of the time as a sub.

Bergkamp is well past his best and i only put equal because of the fact that he does manage occassional flashes of excellence.
 
jesus christ you man utd / arsenal fans are pathetic sometimes :) banter is one thing, but sometimes it goes a bit over the top?

man utd have about 5 (barthez, giggs, keane, rvn, beckham (? havn't rated him very highly for the past 2 seasons for utd), ferdinand, veron (dont laugh)) and arsenal about 5 (henry, vieira, pires, campbell, possibly ljungberg) who could walk into any first team in the world.

man for man, both teams are equal - it comes down to how well motiviated they are, and the tactics they use - which comes down the manager. ferguson has lost it a bit over the past 2 seasons, caused by winning the treble so not having anything left to prove, and also the farcical chain of events which lead to him deciding not to retire. that's why arsenal dominated the premiership last year. ferguson seems to be going back to basics at the moment, and has got man utd back on track - it will be another close season with little between the two sides (again i belive it's only between these two - liverpool simply do not have the quality to win it, sorry lads).

it is a very close run thing - either team could, if they play as well as they can, win the premiership, cl, fa cup (and man utd the worthy cup, since they seem to be taking it seriously this year).
