..are 'Blue Point' tools 100% the same as 'Snap On'?

They are budget versions of Snap On, same company but cheaper. I have some blue point ratchets, still expensive considering the price of real cheap **** but good quality nonetheless! Bought them from the Snap On Van that comes round the units.
 
i have plenty of blue point tools, really good broken 1 ratchet but it was not the correct tool for the job in the first place.
 
They're great quality tools, cheaper than snap-on regular and still have the lifetime guarantee whilst under the ownership of the original purchaser (unless stated, but that will pretty much be for items like torque wrenches and impact screwdrivers)

I have a set of 3/8 sockets, and a few random bits, for nearly 20 years now without issue.
 
Answer is NO.

They are made in Asia as opposed to America and they DO NOT carry a lifetime warranty.

We spend mega ££££ on Snap On gear every year.
 
Some of the item's in the Snap On van are BP, they are not available as Snap On.

Does not matter they work and they replace it if it break's.

I stripped/rebuild 16 Cylinder Cummins Diesel engines with them for 16+ years so your not going to break on your car/bikes.
 
Yeah blue point are good tools and do come with a lifetime warrenty. (Unless specified at point of sale for certain tools according to website). Lots of tools come with a lifetime warrenty now though even the halfords advanced range which is good if you break something and need to exchange it on a sunday and nowhere else is open.
 
They're definitely not the same but are still very good. I have a whole mixture of Halfords Professional, Snap-on, blue point, Mac tools, facom and a few others and can't really fault any of them.
 
I like the halfords professional stuff. and if you blag yourself a trade card you get discounts of bloody everything,. from tools to oil to screen wash.
