Are CAPS just for crossfire?

The reason I ask is that I thought these were just for crossfire but some people seem to use these for single cards.
 
NO. They help single cards as well. Always use caps. Don't forget to uninstall older caps before using new ones.
 
Yup, fairly sure I've seen performance fixes for single card setups in a fair few CAP's.

The common misunderstanding is that CAP stands for Crossfire Application Profile, when its for Catalyst Application Profile :)
 
And I have memory to install, a 9% premium in me and then trying to install hardware is always going to end in disaster :p

I think you'd probably be ok. Its probably the same as drinking two cans of 4% carlsberg slightly quicker than normal.
