Me and my brother are looking at getting air con, as it's getting hot in the attic and we can't have the skylight open when it rains 
So we're considering getting a cheap air-con unit and venting the hot air out via a hole in the wall.
More specifically, we're looking at this one which is the absolute most we can afford:
