Are Deltas really *that* loud?

It'll take six. Three 12cm on the drive modules (or four if you have no I/O panel or optical drives)

one 12cm on the side (with 8cm to 12cm bracket)
one 8cm on the top
Two 12cm on the rear.
PSU fan
Perhaps fit two on the case floor (intake)

Like to know where you got 9 12cm fans from
 
I'm actually only guessing there (I think I might have read it somewhere too), hopefully someone will come along and cofirm it.

a 60mm delta on a tbred 1333, lol machine used to sound like a dustbuster going wrong.

good ol' days.

u used to have to use headphones so you could hear the game you were playing.

and yep, they take the tip of your finger off with no issues.

Just going by what the OcUK product description says. You seem to have the Stacker 810 though, whereas OC has the 830 (which appears to take more fans).
 
In the end I went for a couple of green Akasa fans as they were under £3 and shift 32CFM. Not great but due to the cable jungle inside my case I doubt I would get the benefit of faster fans anyway, just the noise.

I steered clear of any of that variable speed nonsense as personally I don't mind constant sounds, it's varied ones that change pitch etc which occasionally irritate me.

You could saw the floor of the case off and fit a metal curtain round the bottom, and hey presto! You've built a hovercraft!
