Hey all,
A bit of an unusual question this, but are DNA tests available to the public? Or are they just limited to the Police/Research Institutes?
I just wonderred if you could, for instance, send off a pair of blood/dead cell samples to a laboratory for a fee (quite hefty I'd imagine), and then after a period of time they'd get back to you with basic information, like how related you are.
Does any thing like this happen in real life? I think I heard you can get tests for some genetic diseases this way, but whether that is 'prescription' only or free for all I don't know.
