Are EVGA smoking crack?! $1600 for a PC frame?!

Ok yes its made of carbon fiber but still, what an asbolutely insane money-grab for... well not a lot at all?!

Ah but lets not forget the free "worth $800" flight case (actual RRP around £200 inc vat).

I love EVGA and their products, the warranty alone makes their pricing worth it, but seriously EVGA, come off it.

They sell the side panels separately for £200 each if you're interested.

People fork out just as much, if not more, for a POS pair of jeans or trainers or sunglasses, or any number of other things, just because it came out of a designer label fashion shop....

Several case manufacturers offer silly, crazy, weird, arty-farty cases like this. Low volume, high price weird **** that is clearly meant to be a conversational centrepiece, or they're just hoping Linus will do a build video.
I don't mind them doing this, and generally there are some people who buy them. You're clearly not the target market, so don't worry yourself about it.

While not something I would buy, I could see someone (streamer/rich person) doing a 'full carbon' water cooled rig with it using the new Alphacool exotic carbon HardTubes.....

Alternatively for the price of a sun-lounger, angle grinder and welder you to can have a EVGA E1... (and a rattle can of Hammerite or carbon fibre vinyl wrap).

If companies want to make halo or other innovative products, etc. at silly prices I don't have a problem with it as long as I can buy normal stuff at normal prices.

There is a theory in marketing. I think it goes along the lines of:
If it's priced low, people will think it's cheap quality. But for the same item, Price it outrageously and people will be certain it's the best there is. They just need to pay that premium price to get the best.

I'm paraphrasing but you get the gist. I'm guessing this works well enough to make some easy money as long as consumers can't make a simple like for like comparison.

Personally my opinion is more like "If it's priced high they are taking the p*ss".

I'd rather get the Thermaltake with the massive distribution block for it's back panel than the EVGA one.

Did anyone ever get the older EVGA cases like the DG-86?
Yes, I’ve got a new one sat in the box. It’s MASSIVE. It had to be deboxed to move it in an Audi A6 Avant. You really need a van to transport them in their full packaging.
