Just as title really, am going overseas soon and wanted to take a copy of smash bros. Melee over for a friends son (he hasn't played it :O ) so I figured I'd grab a copy over here and take it with ...

the place we are visiting is pretty much guaranteed to be getting the majority of its electrical goods from the states so I am expecting it to be an NTSC cube ...?

any help / experience of this would be appreciated

needs to be in the console thread

iirc they are, but im not sure at all, sorry i cant be move help

EDIT - you could be a freeloader which isnt illegal iirc, its just a disk that allows you to play different region games

LoL I alway forget there is a console forum :D oh for the old days

Yes they are, however you can buy Freeloader. It's a boot disk which allows you to play NTSC on PAL consoles and vice versa. Costs about £15 online iirc.

ahh thats gunna make it way to complicated for an eight year old afaik he has attention deficit so it'd probably never get played, I'll see if i can source a copy over there.

Might take my copy anyway and see if it works, I can always buy another copy over here
