As per title, currently building in a Lian Li O11D EVO and in the process of making front panel extension cables, but there isn't an HDD led cable going to the case. Are these being phased out? Feels kinda wrong not having one lol!

I haven't got one on my o11 evo, pretty sure the original o11 had the power light flashing from HDD activity. Personally I don't miss it and in all honesty I'd say it's likely pretty redundant with SSD's being so much faster etc.

On the O11 Air Mini the power button is also the HDD LED. Seems weird to have one when all my drives are solid state of some for or another, but it flashes away at random all the same.

Had one for the P500A. It was flashing quite regularly.

Doesn’t have one for the NZXT H9. Don’t really miss it. Not relevant these days tbh

Fractal Define 7 XL only has power light, which can be switched over (internally) to act as HDD activity light. Tried it for a while in that mode, but reverted back to use it as a power light. When not accessing drives, rig was so quiet, it looked and sounded like it wasn't switched on!!!!

My o11-D does have one, the power button is also the activity light. I have seen it flash, but haven't really been looking to measure how often etc. I imagine it's a bit of a gimmick now.

Still find mine useful
Like when windows update restarts the pc
And you get a black screen
And have no idea if it's actually doing something
Or if its frozen
Even got a hdd activity light on my motherboard for
Some reason
Not something I have seen before

Can't recall where I saw it, but someone did a 'Lightening' build, where the the HDD activity light was also connected up to the white case LED lighting somehow.
It did look like it was being zapped by several million volts when the HDD was busy.
