are mushrooms with fuzzy white hair ok to eat?

Cooking with these standard mushies, they are just your run of the mill standard shrooms you always see in the supermarket, the white ones with black bit underneath the head.

Anyway, took them out the fridge and they have some white, fuzzy fluff on them.

Are they safe to eat? I know shrooms are a fungus so maybe this is normal?
 
Actually, don't eat them, that stuff is straight out of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. They will eat you and grow a new version of "you"!
 
I'd go ahead and bin them. This is why mushrooms shouldn't be stored in plastic. They last much longer in paper bags.
 
Just cut the hairy bit off if you're feeling uneasy. Don't waste good mushrooms.

Edit: yes I have eaten hairy mushrooms before with no ill effect.
