Are my temps ok for this overclock?

Ive overclocked my E8400 to 4Ghz, i ran prime 95 for a couple of hours and i was monitoring the temps, just wondering are these ok for this chip.

Idle : 35C

Load : 68C

Any advice would be great

These temps are good for 4GHz.

You'll find some poeple who dont like 65+ though. I wouldnt take it any further.

Im running prime95 its running full load at 74C seems to of peaked also runs like a dream havent had a single crash or restart

Meh... as long as you don't take it to 100% too often it should be fine. I don't think gaming would stress it nearly as much as Prime, so i'd say it would be fine.

Voltage really should be as low as it possibly can be but still being stable.

only if its fully stable with less voltage, asked the question more to make sure you weren't putting a silly voltage through it.

Those temps seem really nice for that vcore, mine clocked at 3.6ghz with 1.22v is about 55c full load.

When i did a little run the other weak to see the fastest i could bench at with my current set up, 4.5ghz with stupid crazy vcore of 1.55v (don't worry was only for a super Pi run lol) it peaked at 80c, so ofcourse i shut down and put back to 24/7 clock.

If you can get it stable with less vcore that would be ideal, but if not i would not worry at all, those temps are very nice. Congratz
