Are my temps OK?

Hi,

I have an i5 2500K, it is NOT overclocked, it is cooled by a Gelid Tranquillo (can't remember whether I used the paste that came with the Gelid, or Arctic silver 5 but it is one of the two) and this is my first ever PC that I have built so I just wanted to ask here and see if my temps are OK

I am using core temp by the way

I was playing Metro 2033 and the max temp was core #2 at 66 degrees Celsius, the others were 58 and 59

Minimum temp since I turned the PC on was 26

And now I am using it just for web browsing, just finished installing a couple of programs and has been on for a couple of hours and the temps are currently ranging between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius, occasionally dropping to 29 for a second or so.


Is that normal?

Looks ok, I would like to see a little lower at stock, but start overclocking and see how you get on.

Looks fine.. My 2500k idle ranges from 19 -29 degrees when idle at 4.4. Gonna reapply TIM and reseat as I don't think there shud be a 10 degree difference across cores.. IBT at. Ax it goes to high 60's - low 70s.

Those temps look bang on for that cooler. But get that chip OC even if it is only to 4.2ghz or 4ghz
