are my timings set right for my OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5?

Leave them on Auto and they will run at stock.
auto sets the timings to something like 5-6-8-27 which isn't right.

remember im using these sticks with a phenom which doesn't read the EPP currently, thats why you need to manuely set the timings.

I wouldn't have a clue what to set the other timings to tbh. You could spend the next month trying to work them out.

before i bought the ocz ram, i had 2x Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) 8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit which after about 3-4months they failed, would that because the other timings maybe was wrong and damaged the sticks or is it just crap ram?

It's just crap RAM.

You could try the OCZ forums. Someone like Ryder may be able to give you the proper timings for 1066mhz.

thank u mate..

so far they are running fine and state, i will look on ocz forums later..

i was just worryed if wrong timing could damage the ram

Nah they can't cause any damage to the memory.

A timing that's too far out of spec would just cause an unstable system, and even then some of them have little to next-to-no bearing on system stability.
