Are NVidia clearing the decks for a new high end card?

I have just noticed that the RTX Titan has had a £150 price reduction and the Titan V is no longer listed on their UK site and out of stock on the US site.

The reason I find this interesting is the price or availability of the above cards is not effected by anything AMD has on the market at the moment.

Does this mean either there is a new high end NVidia card on the way or are the new AMD RX 5950XT, RX 5950 and RX 5800 XT cards seen as a serious threat?

If AMD produce some big Navi cards without ray tracing and just go for raw performance it could cause NVidia some problems even with the 3XXX series.

I think there is still a market for non ray tracing GPUs as there are so few games that actually support it.

If all NVidias next gen cards have large areas of die space used by ray tracing a big Navi card without it will be a serious problem for them.
