While this is certainly true, it doesn't change the underlying problem with having his threads existing?

It's not a general dislike of a poster. I'm baffled at how DirtyDog is still on here and I've explained why above.

Listen. I do appreciate where you are comming from, and I admire your middle ground about this. But there are negative consequences that come along with that too, for ocuk's reputation.

Idk, I may come across strong but as you say it is a real emotive subject and something that a whole load of minorities suffer from IRL too. I'ld rather respect them by banning the obvious racialists more than respect the racists opinions by not banning them.

Tummy makes the point better than I.
 
Not really seen his posts myself, and they do not come across offensive to me from the odd ones I have seen, yes it is a borderline discussion about race. But what is the problem with talking about it?
 
This reminds me of when I was at school and there was pupil who wanted to always tell on other people because they were bullying him. Do you feel bullied? do you feel oppressed? I think the people on this forum are great and some discussions might get a bit heated but no reason to start moaning about its existence and calling publicly for peoples bans. if you want this place to be sterile and boring you should continue moaning about discussions that you don't agree with.

You should read my posts on discrimination it might give you a different perspective, from the thread about the gay couple that sued some poor christian couple from the B&B.

Pretty funny that a forum that allows discussion about races with people in threads using racist undertones, bans if you don't fully star out a swear word.

"Swearing isn't family friendly", but racist undertones are, I guess.

The family friendly rule is enforced but there is so much posted it's difficult to do it across the board. What annoys me more is just the inconstancy in decisions by moderators at times (that's not having a go, that's just a natural by product of having a system like this) they remove the boobs from the GiF thread for example but there are still threads full of sexual references.

There is nothing wrong with talking about certain topics, the problem lies with the inherit racist undertones that come with anything DirtyDog posts.

As I've said previously, one big bad post isn't too dissimilar to several little bad posts, in the end it's all the same. DirtyDog just happens to be carful with what he posts but nobody can deny his posts are racist, he attempts to promote racism and survives because he doesn't openly say something massively inflammatory about an Ethnic minority.

As I said, how is several little bad posts any better then one big bad post. It's one and the same in the end.

As many people have pointed out, all his posts have racist undertones. It's the several little bad posts aren't as bad as one big bad post argument. You said yourself you've not seen much of him post either.

There is nothing wrong with 'discussion' but race discussions tend to go one way in GD especially if DirtyDog is involved.

^^ after HOW long!? And only after Nath was accused of being racist and mods allowing stuff like it to go on! Was obviously locking the stable door after the horse had bolted mate.

Indeed, likewise most posters who have never been involved don't realise how many bans, suspensions and subtle words are had, and how much discussion such activities involve...

Not to mention how much grief the moderating team gets, both as a group and as individuals, from the many posters from all areas of the spectrum who want the mods to enforce their opinions onto the general forum.

I occasionally still get grief now and it's over 5 years since I left the mod team.
