Are outbound connections with Windows Firewall able to give prompts?

I know it can be configured to block outbound connections and manually adding rules etc, but can it prompt you like a normal firewall does?

Or is it better just to ditch it and use comodo?

this is not for me, for an idiot friend that keeps infecting himself

I think i remeber being prompted by windows firewall, it was pretty random when it did it though. I'd just use comodo.

inbound yes, but not outbound, afaik..

I wish Comodo's interface was nicer. I much prefer the Windows firewall style (in advanced mode) but apart from that, it's good.

Yeah I agree Comodo isn't the easiest thing to navigate around but luckily I don't need to - just either deny or accept access prompts.
