Hi There,

Just wondering will overclockers get the Shuttle SN27P2 in stock?

Looking at getting one of these but would like to get it off overclockers if their pricing is right!! :D

Seen a few websites with them in stock - with different pricing!!!

Hope someone can help.

Could look at an sk22g2. Almost half the price, AM2, ddr2 mem, pci-e, smaller case. Has a Via chipset and only 2 ram slots, as well as only a 200w PSU instead of 350. But as far as I thought, Shuttle PSU's were invincible.

As a user of a SK22G2 I can tell you it's a very good buy, and if you absolutely need to use the *900 series cards in the rig it's an easy procedure to swap out the power supply for a 300W one like I did. The only thing you need to watch out for is memory support. I'd stick to DDR667 until Shuttle get their AM2 boards sorted out. Also, you're limited to around 1.85v memory.

So the stock PSU can't handle, say, a single 1900xt? How much did the 300w psu cost?

Otherwise I'm baffled as to why this Shuttle is so much cheaper from the sn27p2.

You may be able to run an XT on the 200W PSU, but I'm not going to chance it. The upgrade is about £50, still saving over a hundred pounds over the SN27P2. On the P2 you're paying extra for more memory slots and more HD space, as well as a nForce 570 board. With the SK22G2 you're using a propietary VIA chipset.
