HI ALL

am moving to a sugo with a gigabyte micro mobo saya it supports sata11

just wondered if it will auto pick it up when installing windows or will i need to source a floppy drive to install drivers

The motherboard should automatically support SATA without the need for drivers, however the features you get will depend on what the hard drive manufacturer chose to implement and also on what the motherboard manufacturer did as SATAII has a few additional features, supporting any one appears to be enough to claim that the hard drive is SATAII :)

Nope, has to be a press F6 to install additional drivers (for windoze anyway)
/edit
Just remembered i'm thinking about my raid0 setup so scrub my input

If your windows XP cd is already SP2 > XP-SP2 it will work on the NForce controler but not Silicons (also on your mobo) you still need floppy+F6.

If your cd is plain XP or XP-SP1 you will also need floppy+F6
