Are the Quad extreme's worth it?

Well It seems I've come across more money than sense at the moment, and I'm gonna spend it on a pc upgrade, are the quad extreme's worth it or should I be looking at something else?
 
Thats was what my mind was telling me tbh, which is good. What would you recommend as I'm trying to make a decent gaming system thats gonna be able to run crysis (and that kind of graphics) smoothly.
 
Tbh, max resolution I can play at is 1280 * 1024 as my computer has been relegated to the smallest room in the house by the missus so can't get a bigger monitor :'(

So if there is something that can handle that kind of resolution i'd be happy.
