Let's cut to the chase - I've worked in IT my whole life, I have not been kind to either my keyboards or my body (with the exception of my IBM model M and the one time my other half convinced me to try vegetarianism for six months, and what a hellish six months that was. My kid brother spent the entire time sending me pictures of steaks. Git.) and as a result, I'm currently at a portly 198 kilos. in conjunction with me being 6'3", this makes fitting into the world...Awkward, and finding things like a good office chair is an issue. Kind of hoping I could get some suggestions that don't come from a medical implements catalogue or require a second mortgage to buy?

Thanks in advance if you can help, friends.

Okay, so I'm 6ft8 around 30st and disabled with significant lower limb mobility issues along with a lot of other problems. Comfort is king, in order to allow me to use my PC. So feel your pain in finding the right chair for me.

I had a Noblechairs Hero which stood up to years of my giant ass, but it was never really comfortable and not great for long sessions.

I tried various others, including a bariatric office chair from a company that needs to learn about consumer law that while suitable for most, was just too shirt in the back for me and caused pain.

In the end I went with the Secretlabs Titan Evo XL! Yes it's expensive, but it's perfect for me. It's comfortable, sturdy and big enough. I can't recommend it enough
