Are there any games like C&C ?

Command and Conquer are really the only games i ever played on the pc.

Trying to get the older ones to work, is ni on impossible.

So is there anything like these games?

Ideally with tanks and men :D
 
Starcraft 2 is too futuristic for my liking.

Company of heroes is good! Do you build a base and harvest materials for money?

Supreme commander looks really good, but the graphics look shocking? Unless i am looking at the wrong videos.

Would game play be like this, or is that not in game play?

I dont understand, one minute graphics are awesome (for the year) Next thing you get red pixels for men?
 
Definitely recommend Dawn of War games, either the original series or the new ones, both are different play styles however, so might want to give both series a try. I still play both quite frequently. You can get them pretty cheap now too!

Yeah, its one of the best RTS I've played and I loved the original C&C's

TA is another one but is quite old now.

There is a zoomed out 'tactical view' of the entire map with units represented as blobs, the rest of the time it is in a standard view like C&C, it still looks reasonable for todays standards

Right couple of questions

1. Is this gonna work on window 7 64bit (if you say no, im going to cry)
2. Where would i buy it from? Just go down to a game shop?
 
This advice was for "Command & Conquer: The First Decade" but could work if you have older versions of the game:



"Some people have had problems with running certain games on vista (which I have) and W7, I've found once installed, go to the directory location and right click on the ea folder and go to permissions and make sure you've selected admin and your sign-in to windows login have all permissions, this will fix any problems, you can find a patch to correct all in game mishaps. "
