Same speed ram from different manufactures? I have 16 gig of the rgb Aourus ram and am contemplating an extra sixteen gig but am not interested in a second set that just flashes different colours. The vanilla equivalent is fifty quid cheaper.

Might depend on the mainboard, I use 32 gb ddr4 (4x8gb sticks) 16gb corsair lpx 2666mhz which I purchased a while ago and 16gb corsair 3000mhz someone gave to me, 2666 is in dimm a2 and b2, I set timings and volts of the 3000 in bios same as the 2666. Although according to msi online spec I can't populate all 4 dimms with 2666mhz?, but the pc is mainly used for midi music creation and audio processing, not noticed any glitching or anomalies.
